Professional Biography

Brianna (Bri) Tobritzhofer joined the Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition in 2025. She is passionate about supporting the next generation of nutrition professionals and brings over a decade of experience in mentoring students, nutrition education, communications, and public health program development.

Bri earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from the University of Wisconsin–Stout and completed her Master’s Degree and dietetic internship through Mount Mary University. Prior to joining the University of Kentucky, she served as Nutrition Program Manager for a sponsor of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Bri also serves as a Faculty Advisor for the Be Well Solutions Dietetic Internship, where she previously led their marketing and outreach program.

Her professional background spans nonprofit, healthcare, and government settings, with a strong focus on nutrition communication and program coordination. She is a contributing writer for publications such as Today’s Dietitian and Health.com, where she shares evidence-based guidance with a broader audience.

Bri has held leadership roles at both the state and national levels of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, including Treasurer and Interim Chair of the Hunger and Environmental Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group and Communications Director for the Minnesota Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
