UFWH at UK

Universities Fighting World Hunger at the University of Kentucky (UFWH-UK) helps students find solutions to hunger through on-campus initiatives and partnerships. We are part of a growing, global network of nearly 300 universities working together as Universities Fighting World Hunger (UFWH).

We Make a Difference By:

  • Facilitating communication between hunger-related organizations and students in need
  • Providing resources to hunger-related organizations
  • Engaging students, faculty and staff to develop and implement hunger solutions
  • Advocating for policies and solutions to end hunger
  • Fundraising to support hunger-related organizations on campus

Powered by Presidents United to Solve Hunger

On December 9, 2014, UK President Eli Capilouto signed the President's Commitment to Food and Nutrition Security at the United Nations in New York City, a declaration acknowledging the University's commitment to making food insecurity a priority. Presidents United to Solve Hunger (PUSH) is an initiative that unites universities in the fight against hunger and malnutrition. By signing, university leaders agree to make food and nutrition security a priority on campus.
