Job shadowing and part-time jobs are some of the ways our students gain real-world experience working in nutrition and health fields. Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior

The Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior (SNEB) represents the unique professional interests of nutrition educators worldwide. SNEB is dedicated to promoting effective nutrition education and healthy behavior through research, policy, and practice and has a vision of healthy communities, food systems, and behaviors.

International Society of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity

The International Society of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity (ISBNPA) is the leading voice in behavioral nutrition and physical activity science. They stimulate, promote and advocate innovative research and policy in the area of behavioral nutrition and physical activity toward the improvement of human health and well-being worldwide.

American Public Health Association

The American Public Health Association (APHA) champions the health of all people and all communities. We are the only organization that combines a 150-year perspective, a broad-based member community and the ability to influence policy to improve the public's health.

Nutrition & Dietetics Academies

 

Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Founded in 1917, the Academy's members help shape the public's food choices, positively impacting health and wellness worldwide. The Academy provides many professional opportunities and information resources to support its members' careers. Bluegrass Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

The local affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics promotes optimal health and nutrition for all people and provides direction and leadership for quality dietetic practice, education and research in the bluegrass region. Email Liz Combs to learn how you can get involved. 

Kentucky Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

As an affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, this is the largest organization of food and nutrition professionals in Kentucky and serves the public through the promotion of optimal nutrition and health. Louisville Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

The local affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics based in Louisville, Kentucky engages food and nutrition professionals in conversations, regular meetings, and events to build and support the community for optimal health and wellbeing through lifelong learning.
